Here & Now

Here & Now is a nightclub located on the quays of Dublin City. The concept behind the name is the ephemerality of moments experienced at a gig or in a nightclub with friends, highlighting the importance of being present, living in the here and now. We chose to use the ampersand as the brand mark and created this abstract icon as the primary logo. We created a suite of modular graphics, based on the grid created for the typography. Each graphic can be rotated and rescaled while still fitting within the grid, allowing the shapes to be animated to create infinite moving patterns. When editing video we would try to keep all footage in black and white, with pops of colour and glitch transitions between scenes, in an effort to try and replicate the atmosphere of a gig at the venue.
